Standard (FIFe)

The Norwegian Forest Cat Standard was recognized in the general assembly of FIFe in Paris, November 1977, and has been the yardstick since ever. It had slight modifications in 1987, few new characteristics in 1993 and in 2000. In 2004 at the general assembly of FIFe it was proposed a new colour, the amber variation, genetically considered as a variation of the black pigment. This proposal was accepted and new colours were recognised, the amber and light amber variation.
